Lonely Cowboy Adventures is a YouTube channel and field journal for the long way around. We overland, hike, paddle, eat well, and find our way through Colorado, Utah, Wyoming — and anywhere else worth pointing the 4Runner at.
The camera usually follows her. She's the one who looks at a ridgeline and says let's go up there. He's the one behind the camera, writing it down afterward. Between the two of us, we've figured out that the destination matters less than you think. The person you're going with matters more.
We cover the whole trip: the routes in, what we ate, which gear held up, what didn't. We've had to track down gluten-free beer in some genuinely remote places. We've brought good whiskey to campsites that didn't deserve it. That part isn't incidental. It's kind of the whole point.
Real conditions, real gear notes, real failures. No fake drama. No expert poses. Just what we found out there and what you'd want to know before you go.
Members get our full expedition notes, GPS tracks, gear lists, and behind-the-scenes from every trip we run. If you want to run the same route, start there.
